DISINFECTION OF HOUSEHOLD AIR CONDITIONERS

Before maintenance the air conditioner, it is recommended to pre-clean the air conditioner evaporator and air conditioner filter from dirt and dust.

For this:
  • open the top cover of the indoor unit and carefully remove the clogged air cleaning filter. The air filter (dust collection) is located under the front panel and is a fine mesh. Air purification (trapping harmful microorganisms and removing unpleasant odors) are located first and can be coal, catechin, plasma or with an anion generator;
  • Vacuum cleaner or washing the air filter under running water and allow it to dry. Air-cleaning filters cannot be cleaned – they must be replaced with new ones. The life of the filter depends on the type and can range from six months to five years.

This is followed by disinfecting the air conditioner and removing the unpleasant odor.

For this:
  • turn on the air conditioner in the recirculation mode (fan), setting the minimum temperature and maximum fan speed;
  • spray disinfectant fluid near the air intake area;
  • remove the air conditioning and filter trim panel;
  • treat the remaining evaporator zone and filter (air filter) evenly over the entire surface. Within 10-15 minutes, the tool disinfects the working area of the air conditioner and the surface of the evaporator, creating a protective film on them;
  • dusty blinds wipe with a damp cloth, very dirty – remove and rinse with warm water;
  • install an air and air cleaning filter in its place;
  • close the front cover of the air conditioner.

Air conditioner disinfection is complete.
